Our hats are made of high quality latex which do not pull or snag the hair when putting on or taking off. We also stock beautiful turban style hats. These are designed so that the hair isn’t flattened whilst wearing. These can also accommodate dreadlocks, hair weaves & extensions. All of our hats are comfortable to wear
It’s not just the ladies that have all the fun. Men & children are included in our range. For children we have reasonably priced fabric hats which are perfect for school swimming lessons. Easy to put on & take off without assistance, swim day tears caused by a tight hat pulling the hair can now be avoided.
For the men we stock silicone caps in a wide range of colours & thermal caps.
Benefits of wearing a swim hat:
• If you have long hair, wearing a swim hat will keep it away from your face
• Offers protection for your hair against the damaging effects of chlorine, salt or the sun.
• You will need one when going abroad on holiday. Most European pools require you to wear a hat before swimming
• It is more hygienic. Wearing a swim hat stops loose hair floating around in the water. It’s not very pleasant swimming and coming across someone else’s loose hair!
• If you are an open water swimmer or do swim in cold water wearing a swim hat will help retain your body heat
• Wearing a brightly coloured hat when swimming outside will increase your visibility
• If you have hair loss (through alopecia, chemotherapy treatment etc. ) wearing a hat when swimming will hide this if you feel self-conscious of your hair loss
